Despite the cold weather nothing quite refreshes me than a good smoothie after a good yoga or workout session. This recipe is one of my go to recipes for a good revitalising and antioxidant fix as blueberries are known to be high in antioxidant properties and are also known as a "superfood". I found this smoothie really hit the spot and who doesn't like to feel like they have done good by feeding the body with the natural nutrients it loves and deserves, I hope you enjoy it as much I did. Ideally it is nice to use organic fruits and vegetables where possible but
One frozen banana
A handful of blueberries
Half a teaspoon of cinnamon
One cup of almond milk
One tbsp coconut oil
One tsp hemp seeds
250 ml filtered water
Wash and chop up your fruit excluding the blueberries as these can be added whole.
Add all your fruit to your blender / smoothie maker / food processor
Add your almond or other nut or non dairy milk of choice
Add the cinnamon and blend the mixture for a few minutes until the resulting consistency is smooth and creamy.
Transfer to a glass or container of choice and garnish with more fresh or frozen blueberries and hemp seeds.
